Making toys is almost magic. I feel this tenderness in the process, imagining a character and it’s ability to play, cuddle and comfort. Some of my creations are made as an initial request from a child or someone who wants to give something personal to a child.

Even grown-ups get caught up in the magic when carefully choosing: “Make me an elephant” she said. But on the table, the elephant wanted to be a dinosaur. “I didn’t know, but I want the dinosaur” she said looking at both animals.
